Algeria's President Howari Boumedienne on Saturday (6 July) ???rged the youth of the Third World to become the militant vanguard of the struggle against all forms of external domination in their countries.
Opening a six-day youth conference of Third World countries in Algiers, President Boumedienna said youth was the pillar of revolutionary nations.
He said: "As youth of the Third World, you are vanguard of the struggle against imperialism. Let solidarity be your strength in a joint action for the realisation of the hopes that Third World peoples have placed upon you."
The youth conference -- held at the sea-side Palais de Nations conference centre 15 miles (25 kilometres) west of Algiers, was organised by the Pan-African Youth Movement and the Algerian National Liberation Front's youth section.
Forty countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America were represented at the opening ceremony by official delegations. Many other countries were represented by liberation movements, while national and international youth organisations attended as observers.
