    Background: Europe's largest winter agricultural show....the International Green Week....opened in West Berlin on Friday (28 January). Nearly 900 of 1,4000 exhibitors were from countries other than Germany, and included participants from the People's Republic of China, Panama, South Korea, and Hungary for the first time. The Green Week was opened by the West German Minister for Food Agriculture and Forestry....Herr Josef Ertl. Also attending the opening ceremony as official guests were Klaus Schutz, the governing mayor of West Berlin....who gave a welcoming address, and E.E.C. President, Signor Franco Maria Malfatti.
