    At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party and the Council of Ministers a Party and Government delegation of the German Democratic Republic led by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the German Socialist Unity Party and Chairman of the State Council of GDR Walter Ulbricht and by the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the German Democratic Republic Max Sefrin arrived in Bulgaria on September 11.

    At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party and the Council of Ministers a Party and Government delegation of the German Democratic Republic led by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the German Socialist Unity Party and Chairman of the State Council of GDR Walter Ulbricht and by the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the German Democratic Republic Max Sefrin arrived in Bulgaria on September 11.

    Present to meet the delegation were Todor Jivkov, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Georgi Traikov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Assembly, Mitko Grigorov, Ivan Mihailov and Stanko Todorov, members of the Political Bureau of the Bulgarian Communist Party's Central Committee, Pentcho Kubadinski, candidate-members of the Political Bureau, Ivan Pramov, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, members of the Presidium of the National Assembly, ministers, chiefs and members of the diplomatic missions in Sofia, a big group of German people, spending their summer holidays in Bulgaria, representatives of the mass-organisations and thousands of Sofia residents.

    Waving Bulgarian and German national flags, hands, raised for greeting, applauds and cheers "Always together" displayed the friendly feelings towards the distinguished guests.

    Todor Jivkov welcomed cordially the envoys of the German people. He expressed our people's joy at the successes of the working people of the German Democratic Republic who had built the new and free Germany once dreamed of by Marx and Engels, a Germany which is an example to the whole German people. Todor Jivkov wished the members of the delegation a pleasant and fruitful stay in our country.

    Accompanied by applauds, Walter Ulbricht stood up behind the microphone. He thanked for the warm welcome, greeted the Bulgarian people with the great successes achieved in the course of twenty years of socialist construction and expressed his firm conviction that the visit of the delegation would contribute to the enlarging of the collaboration between our two countries and in the whole socialist commonwealth as well.
