SYNOPSIS: This is the well-equipped headquarters in Camden, New Jersey of an anti-war group foiled by the FBI on Sunday in an attempt to steal military draft service records form a military draft office. Twenty persons were arrested, including two Catholic priests and a Protestant Minister. Also in Buffalo, new york, five persons were arrested when found inside Federal offices housing a draft board and an army intelligence unit.

The alleged conspirators in the big Camden raid went up a fire escape at the back of the building, showing a knowledge of how to avoid the alarms. Once into the selective service office on the fourth floor they put the records into 12 brown bags and threw them out of the window. The arraignment of those arrested took 12 hours. When it was over, 18 defendants had been held on bail ranging up to 150,000 dollars (62,500 Sterling). Two clergymen among them were permitted to sign their own bonds. Most of those accused could not pay their bail and their Defence Attorney Bernard Segal complained it was excessive. He said the Government was not asking for bail but for a ransom.
