    Talks began in Delhi, October 15, between India and Pakistan on their border differences. General Khalid Shaikh, Pakistan's Minister of the Interior, acting Foreign Minister and leader of the Pakistan delegation, visited Pandit Pant, the Indian Home Minister, and spoke with him for about an hour.

    Later, the Indian and Pakistan delegations went into conference, the Indian delegation being led by Mr. Swaran Singh, - Minister of Steel, Mines and Fuel. Army commanders from both sides took part in the discussions.

    In the evening, General Shaikh called on Mr. Nehru. The talks concern the demarcation of part of India's border with East Pakistan and are being held following the recent successful visit of Pakistan's President, General Ayub Khan, to Delhi.

    First reports said the Delhi talks were progressing well.
