Sheikh Mujib, who is 52 had his appendix and a gall stone removed in an operation at the Clinic late last month. He is in a satisfactory condition.

    The Sheikh, who is fifty-two, is recovering well. His condition is described as satisfactory. On Tuesday, had a visit from the British Foreign Secretary, Sir Alec Douglas-Home.

    Sir Alec has met the Sheikh on other occasions, and last month they had talks in Dacca. Sir Alec was the first British Minister to visit Bangladesh after it broke away from Pakistan last year.

    Sheikh Mujib seemed in good spirits and had this to say about his people.
