    AN EIGHT-MAN TRADE MISSION FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM IS IN GHANA FOR TALKS ON THE GHANAIAN ECONOMY AND THE POSSIBILITY OF INCREASING TRADE BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. THE MISSION HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL, LIEUTENANT-GENERAL ANKRAH, AT THE CASTLE, OSU.

    THE MISSION IS BEING LED BY MR F.H. TATE, VICE-CHAIRMAN OF TATE AND LYLE. HE TOLD JOURNALISTS THAT HE WOULD BE PREPARING A REPORT FOR FIRMS INTERESTED IN TRADE WITH GHANA, AND WOULD TRY TO ALLAY APPREHENSIONS THAT SOME BRITISH BUSINESSMEN MIGHT HAVE IN INVESTMENT THERE.

    WHEN MEMBERS MET GENERAL ANKRAH, THEY WERE ACCOMPANIED BY THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER, MR HAROLD SMEDLEY, AND BY OMABOE, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE NLC'S ECONOMIC COMMITTEE. LATER, THE MISSION VISITED THE HIGH COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE.
