Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan arrived in Bangkok on Sunday (6 May) from Singapore for a four-day official visit to Thailand on his Asian tour to explain the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.

Background: Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan arrived in Bangkok on Sunday (6 May) from Singapore for a four-day official visit to Thailand on his Asian tour to explain the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.
Mr. Dayan, accompanied by his wife Rachel, was welcomed by Thai Foreign Minister Upadit Pachariyankun at the airport where tight security measures were alerted.
At the airport VIP lounge, Mr. Dayan told reporters that he would hold talks with Thai Government leaders on bilateral and international issues. He gave no details but it was expected the discussions would include the situation in Indochina and Southeast Asia.
During this visit, the Israeli Minister is scheduled to meet Thai Prime Minister Kriangsak Chomanan before leaving for home on Wednesday.
During his visit, he will also have an audience with King Ehumibol Adjulyadej at Bangkok Palace.
Mr. Dayan has already visit Nepal, Hongkong, and Burma as part of his Asian tour.
