The beautiful sceneries of the Keum Kan San Mountains may be enjoyed in three parts: namely the Inner Keum Kan San, Outer Keum Kan San and the Sea Keum Kan San.
The Inner Keum Kan San is renowned for its eight extraordinary pools which have been associated with legends since ancient times.
You come across crystal clear pools and attractive cataracts almost wherever you go in the deep valleys of the Keum Kan San. This is Nine Dragons Cataract which has a drop of 80 metres. The pool below is 20 metres deep and is known as Nine Dragons Pool. Eight other pools further up the stream are called the Eight Upper Pools.
Another beauty spot no the Keum Kan San is Sam II Po, a fresh water lake not far from the sea. Only wealthy tourists could afford to enjoy the enchanting sceneries of the Keum Kan San before liberation. Today, it is a place for rest and travels for the common working men and women of Korea is whose hands it is becoming still more magnificent.
