    SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE, MOST OF THEM STUDENTS AND YOUTHS, TOOK PART IN A DEMONSTRATION IN BRUSSELS TODAY (SATURDAY) IN PROTEST AT UNITED STATES ACTION IN VIETNAM AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. THE DEMONSTRATORS MARCHED THROUGH THE STREETS OF THE CITY TO THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY.

    THE DEMONSTRATORS SHOUTED SLOGANS AS THEY MADE THEIR WAY TOWARDS THE EMBASSY - RESIDENCE OF AMBASSADOR DOUGLAS MACARTHUR II. THEY CARRIED BANNERS CALLING FOR AN END TO UNITED STATES BOMBING RAIDS IN NORTH VIETNAM.

    OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY A FORCE OF POLICE WERE ON DUTY. THEY KEPT THE DEMONSTRATORS WELL BACK FROM THE EMBASSY RAILINGS. THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS.

    SYNOPSIS: AN ANTI-AMERICAN DEMONSTRATION IN THE BELGIAN CAPITAL, BRUSSELS, ON SATURDAY. THE DEMONSTRATORS, MOSTLY YOUNG PEOPLE, MARCHED THROUGH THE CITY TO THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY.

    THEY WAVED BANNERS AND SHOUTED SLOGANS CONDEMNING THE ACTION TAKEN BY THE UNITED STATES IN VIETNAM AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

    A FORCE OF POLICE WAS ON DUTY OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY - RESIDENCE OF AMBASSADOR DOUGLAS MACARTHUR II, AND THEY KEPT THE DEMONSTRATORS CLEAR OF THE EMBASSY RAILINGS. THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS.
