    THE WOMEN GATHERED AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS ON FRIDAY TO HEAR THE CHAIRMAN, MISS K. MOLALE, INTRODUCE THE SOVIET GUEST. MISS MOLALE RECALLED THE STRUGGLES OF AFRICAN WOMEN IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR THE MOST BASIC CIVIL RIGHTS. SHE CAVE AN ACCOUNT OF THE OPPRESSION SUFFERED BY AFRICAN WOMEN IN SOUTH AFRICA.

    MRS. PUTIATOVA READ A MESSAGE OF GREETINGS AND SOLIDARITY FROM THE SOVIET UNION. MRS. A. KGOKONG, A MEMBER OF THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS, THANKED MRS. PUTIATOVA FOR HER PARTICIPATION IN THE CELEBRATIONS.
