The Algerian President is accompanied by a strong government delegation including the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, M. Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Colonel Ben Ahmed Abdelghani--a senior member of the Revolutionary Council. Also in the party are Algeria's Minister of Transport, M. Rabah Bitat and the Minister of Information, M. Ben Ahmed Taleb.
The six-day itinerary will provide President Boumediene with ample opportunity for discussions with his Tunisian counterpart, President Bourguiba.
President Boumediene's visit comes as he and his government try to interest other countries of the Mediterranean not at present belonging to military pact in holding a conference to discuss common political problems.
