    PRESIDENT KENNETH KAUNDA OF ZAMBIA HAS COMPLETED A FOUR-DAY OFFICIAL VISIT TO PAKISTAN AND A SERIES OF TALKS WITH PRESIDENT MOHAMMAD AYUB KHAN.

    DR. KAUNDA AND HIS WIFE BETTY ARRIVED IN RAWALPINDI ON THE SECOND DAY OF THEIR VISIT TO PAKISTAN. THEY WERE MET AT THE AIRPORT BY PRESIDENT AYUB, AND A DISPLAY OF BANNERS AND WELCOME SIGNS. THERE WAS THE USUAL MILITARY CEREMONIAL, WITH A 21-GUN SALUTE AND A GUARD OF HONOUR AND MARCH-PAST.

    LATER THE TWO LEADERS HAD THEIR FIRST MEETING. IT LASTED FOR TWO HOURS, WITH DISCUSSIONS ON THE MIDDLE EAST, RHODESIA AND VIETNAM. AND THE PRESIDENTS CONSIDERED IN DETAIL PLANS TO PROMOTE RELATIONS BETWEEN THEIR COUNTRIES, AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PAKISTAN GIVING ZAMBIA TECHNICAL AID.

    AT THE END OF THE VISIT, A JOINT COMMUNIQUE CALLED FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF COMPREHENSIVE MANDATORY SANCTIONS AGAINST THE ILLEGAL REGIME IN RHODESIA.
