    AMID APPLAUSE, HE WALKED TO THE ROYAL BOX UNDER A HUGE UMBRELLA AND WAVED TO THE CROWD. AT THE CEREMONY WERE DELEGATES FROM FRANCE, THE CHINESE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC, THE SOVIET UNION, INDONESIA, NORTH VIETNAM, POLAND, YUGOSLAVIA, CZECHOSLOVAKIA AND NORTH KOREA. THEY HAD RECENTLY ATTENDED CELEBRATIONS OF THE ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF CAMBODIAN INDEPENDENCE.

    THE SPORTS CENTRE AT THE STADIUM INCLUDES FACILITIES FOR LEARNING YACHTING, ROWING, PISTOL AND RIFLE SHOOTING, AND ARCHERY.

    POPULARITY FOR SPORT HAS GROWN CONSIDERABLY IN CAMBODIA OVER RECENT YEARS AND THIS WAS SPELT OUT IN A SERIES OF SLOGANS ON COVERED PANELS DISPLAYED BY SEVEN-THOUSAND STUDENT. AFTERWARDS A MARCH-PAST WAS STAGED AND INCLUDED A CONTINGENT OF NORTH VIETNAMESE GIRLS, WHO WERE REVIEWED BY PRINCE SIHANOUK.
