    Ghana celebrated the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) with a Made-In-Ghana Goods Exhibition. The exhibition was opened on Saturday (14 October) by Ghana's Commissioner for Industries, Major K.B. Agbo. The exhibition will remain open until Thursday (19 October).

    World Standards Day was commemorated by member states to enlighten the public on the importance and activities of the world standards group. Ghana, as a member-country, is participating in the celebrations with this exhibition of goods which, naturally, meet the high standards demanded by the ISO.

    SYNOPSIS: Ghana, participating in the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of the International Standards Organisation, opened a Made-In-Ghana Goods Exhibition on Saturday, World Standards Day.

    Ghana's Commissioner for Industries, Major Agbo, opened the exhibition in a speech to exhibitors and exporters at Accra's Arts Centre. He emphasised the importance of high standards in Ghanaian goods, then cut the ribbon opening the fair. Major Agbo visited the Arts Centre, critically browsing over the hundreds of goods on display.

    Throughout the world, member states of the International Standards Organisation participated in the anniversary. Activities were held in many centres, to enlighten the world population on the importance and the achievements of the World Standards Group. Since its inception, the I.S.O. has been in charge of the task of coordinating a vast collection of industrial, commercial, engineering and safety standards.
