The Commander in Chief Rhine Army paid a visit to the 31st German Panzer Grenadier Regiment to-day while on a visit to one of the largest military exercises held in Germany for some time. The exercise is called Eternal Triangle III and is being held by 1st Division. (see press handout for full details)
The C in C, Sir John Hacket was met by Brigade General Munch of the German army, The visit took place in a wood in the centre of the exercise area, after a short conference with the German staff the C in C made a tour of the battle positions used in the exercise where he met German officers taking part in the exercise.

Later he visited other British units in the area and lunched with the Commander of 1st Division, Major General R. Ward.
