  • Description

Athenian 'High Society' were treated to a scintillating display of International Spring-Summer fashions at a show held in the luxurious Asteria night club Mar 9.

Designers from Italy, West Germany and Austria presented their latest creations. Six beautiful mannequins - two from each country - were greeted with rapturous sighs and loud applause as they modelled more than sixty dresses...all made of cotton.

Two West German cotton models were warmly greeted. Mannequin Helen Gerstner exhibited 'Shanghai', an ensemble of printed cotton natte designed by Richter of Berlin. Doris Biene modelled a black and white natte cocktail dress by Heinz Oestergaard of Berlin.

Under the auspices of the International Cotton Council of Paris, the show was organised by the Cotton Institutes of Italy, West Germany and Austria.
