The Blessing of the Fleet normally takes place on the Sunday following the Company's birthday - May 27. On Wednesday last, Aer Lingus, celebrated its 23rd anniversary, during which time it has grown from one plane to an international airline to the United States, Britain, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.
Since its 1936 inception, almost four million people have flown Aer Lingus...with only one air accident.
