Background: On November the 23rd, at the Black Sea resort of Gagra, Nikita Khrushchov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, receives Mr. Sekou Toure, President and Chairman of the Government of the Guinea Republic, who is in the Soviet Union on an official visit.

Among those accompanying the President, were Mr. Saifoulaye Diallo, President of the National Assembly. Mr. Keita Fodeba, Minister of Interior and Security, and Mr. Seydou Conte, the Ambassador of Guinea to the Soviet Union.

The talk that was held between Nikita Khrushchov and President Sekou Toure was marked by a warm atmosphere of friendship and understanding.

The heads of Government of the two states exchanged views on several questions of Soviet-Guinea relations and on a number of current international problems.

Nikita Khrushchov asked President Sekou Toure to convey warm greetings to the courageous people of Guinea and wished them every success in their fine struggle they are carrying on in strengthening the independence of their young republic of Guinea.

Present at the talk were Nuritdin Nukhitdinov, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the Soviet of Nationalities of the USSR Supreme Soviet. and others.
