    The Ghana Minister for Land and Mineral Resources, Mr Reginald Amponsah, flew to New Delhi yesterday (Friday) at the start of a fact-finding tour of India. He was met at the airport by Dr Triguna Sen, the Indian Minister for Petroleum and Chemicals.

    The Ghanaian Minister will be staying in India for about 12 days. During that time, he will be given a first-hand view of India's major natural resources and the latest methods of exploiting them. Visits to the country's oil installations and diamond mines are included on Mr Amponsah's programme.

    Shortly after Mr Amponsah's arrival he called on Dr Triguna Sen for an initial session of talks. It was later reported that the main subjects of their discussions were methods of exploring oil fields and the means of exploiting oil resources.
