    The largest ship ever to enter a Greek port, the 36,904-tons super tanker "National Defender", anchored in Piraeus harbour Jan 26. King Paul, Queen Frederika, and he two Greek Princesses, headed a group of Important personalities who went aboard to inspect her.

    After reviewing a marine guard of honour from the U.S. aircraft carrier 'Saratoga' -- in Piraeus for repairs after a disastrous fire - King Paul was escorted around.

    Built in 1959 at Newport News, Virginia, USA, the giant ship is owned by the National Shipping and Trading Company of New York. Officials in Piraeus claim she has a displacement equal to that of the liner "Queen Mary", or the aircraft carrier "Enterprise".
