    A TEAM OF SIX JAPANESE BUSINESSMEN HAD TALKS IN PERTH EARLY THIS WEEK ABOUT WEST AUSTRALIAN MINERAL RESOURCES.THEY MET THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRIAL STATE GOVERNMENT, MR.COURT AND THE BRANCH OF THE AUSTRALIAN-JAPAN BUSINESS CO-OPERATION COMMITTEE LED BY MR.WALTER ASHTON.

    THE JAPANESE PARTY: MADE UP OF FIVE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CONSTRUCTION FIRM OF DAI NIPPON ENTERPRISE INCORPORATED, AND A FORMER GOVERNOR OF THE JAPAN ELECTRIC AND POWER DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, MR.SOJI FUJII, LEADER OF THE GROUP.

    MR.FUJII TOLD THE AUSTRALIA-JAPAN COMMITTEE THAT DAI NIPPON HAD DECIDED TO DIVERSIFY AND ITS FACT FINDING TOUR WAS MAINLY DIRECTED AT GETTING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF AUSTRALIA'S MINERAL RESOURCES.

    FOR THIS PURPOSE IT HAD FORMED A NEW COMPANY AND WOULD BE INTERESTED IN PARTICULAR IN IMPORTING COKE, IRON, COPPER AND LEAD.LATER THE COMPANY WOULD TRY TO DEVELOP TWO-WAY TRADE.THE PRESENT GROUP IS ON A TOUR OF AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.
