SYNOPSIS: For the second time in three weeks, newspaper offices in Beirut have been the target of a bomb attack. The latest explosion, on Saturday, badly damaged offices of the newspaper Al-Muherrer. Despite the damage, no-one was hurt by the blast. The newspaper supports the cause of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation. There were reports that the bomb which caused the damage was tossed from a speeding car.

Apparently the bomb landed on the balcony of an office used by a coeditor of the newspaper, Mr. Shafiq Hout, who is also an official in the Palestine Liberation Organisation. The office was unoccupied at the time of the blast. Last month, the Palestine Liberation Organisation denounced an attack on the offices of the journal Al-Hawadess, when four armed men planted bombs which damaged the printing presses. Only last week, another bomb exploded near the home of a Black September commando in Beirut.
