    At a meeting in the Brussels City Hall, Apr. 27, the Mayors of the six Common Market capitals signed a friendship agreement and promised to work for the success of the European Economic Community. At regular intervals the "Union of Capitals," will meet to discuss mutual problems and subjects of common interest.

    The opening speech was made by Mayor Cooremans of Brussels, who pointed out the advantages of such meetings between the capital cities of the Six. In the first session the delegates talked about the way in which some of the early problems facing the Common Market could be overcome.

    Closing the session the Mayors signed the agreement starting with Dr. Van Hall of Amsterdam, Dr. Daniels of Bonn, M. Hamilius of Luxembourg, M. Tardieu of Paris, Sr. Colasanti of Rome, and finally Mayor Cooremans of Brussels.
