Background: The American way of life is keenly imitated by many Japanese in their home country...and not always in the baseball grounds. Now there's even a wild vest ranch for cowboy devotees.
SYNOPSIS: Shades of the Wild West...or is it? The Kinugawa, or Angry Devil, family ranch is actually "north"...95 miles north of Tokyo.
The ranch has all the facilities a modern cowboy could want and a lawman that turns a blind eye.
At Kinugawa, the TV western comes to life.
The ranch also offers a classic shootout...but here, the "critter" is a space-age beam which sets off a digital timer. Still, even the most modern equipment can't help the sharpshooter who hasn't the skill to get his gun out of his holster ... without shooting his hip ... or worse.
At weekend there was a special quick-on-the-draw competition...electronically timed.
