  • Description

President Frondizi of Argentina and his wife, Senora Elena, were guests of honour at industrial magnate Alfried Krupp's Villa Huegel in Essen, June 29, on the third day of their visit to West Germany.

After luncheon, Dr. Frondizi, leading members of the Krupp concern, and German and Argentine economic experts had talks on the possibilities of Krupp exports to Argentina.

Later the same day, in Bonn, the President said that if West Germany can produce sufficient proof that Josef Mengele, former Auschwitz concentration camp doctor, is hiding in Argentina, his Government would be prepared to extradite him to Germany.

Dr. Frondizi also told a press conference that the amount of compensation Israel is to pay for the abduction of Adolf Eichmann was to be fixed in negotiations between the two countries. Argentina fully condemned the former SS colonel's crimes, but could not approve violation of her sovereignty.
