    President Sadat of Egypt said on Friday (10 November) that the current peace treaty talks with Israel in Washington might be suspended if Israel does not agree to link the pact to a comprehensive Middle East settlement. Mr. Sadat said he was aware of President Carter of the United States' support for Egyptian insistence on the link.

    SYNOPSIS: President Sadat was speaking to newsmen after attending prayer at a mosque in the town of Kaotara East in Sinai, a town that had been revenged in the last two wars with Israel. After the prayers he spoke of his hopes for the negotiations.
