    IN NAIROBI, MR MACDONALD FACES A WHOLE SERIES OF CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES INVOLVED IN THE COMPLETION OF A NEW INTERNAL SELF-GOVERNMENT CONSTITUTION FOR KENYA.WHEN THESE HAVE BEEN RESOLVED A DATE FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS WILL BE DETERMINED, POSSIBLY ABOUT JULY, TO PRODUCE AN AFRICAN HOME RULE GOVERNMENT AS A PRELUDE TO LATER INDEPENDENCE.

    AT PRESENT THERE IS A COALITION NATIONAL GOVERNMENT FORMED BY THE KENYA AFRICAN NATIONAL UNION OF MR JOMO KANYATTA AND THE AFRICAN NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC UNION OF MR RONALD NGALA, FOR THE COLONY'S ESTIMATED 7/12 MILLION PEOPLE.
