Background: French customs agents have seized the world's biggest-ever drugs haul, after impounding a fishing trawler which was found to contain 940 lbs of heroin.
They swooped on a boat in Marseilles on Monday (28 February) and after searching until Thursday (2 March), found the heroin -- estimated to have a street market value of up to 65 million pounds (sterling).
The boat was stopped by customs speedboats after they had fired warning shots across its bows. The captain dived overboard as the customs officers approached, but was later captured.
