    THE CAMPUS OF UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF CAPE COAST WAS FILLED WITH STUDENTS AND TUTORS ATTENDING A GRADUATION CEREMONY LAST SATURDAY. 138 OF THE STUDENTS HAD COMPLETED COURSES IN THE COLLEGE LEADING TO DEGREE IN EDUCATION, WHILE THE REST WERE AWARDED DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES.

    THE CONGREGATION INCLUDED MEMBERS OF THE COLLEGE COUNCIL AND GRADUATES OF THE COLLEGE. THE WELCOME ADDRESS WAS DELIVERED BY HIS GRACE, JOHN KODWO AMISSAH, ARCHBISHOP OF CAPE COAST. HE SAID THAT CAPE COAST UNIVERSITY COLLEGE WAS THE ONLY INSTITUTION IN GHANA CREATED SPECIFICALLY TO EDUCATION GRADUATE TEACHERS.

    DR.C.A.ACKAH, PRINCIPAL OF THE COLLEGE, SAID THE COLLEGE WAS MAINTAINING A FLOW OF GRADUATES WITH ARTS DEGREES, BUT SAID THAT IN FUTURE, THE COLLEGE WILL ADMIT MORE SCIENCE STUDENTS THAN ARTS STUDENTS.

    IN THE EVENING, WHEN DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS HAD BEEN PRESENTED, THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HELD A DANCE FOR ITS GUESTS.
