TRANSCRIPT: FRAZIER (SEQ. 4): Well, they say once you kill the body, the head will die. You know what I mean, it comes down. A man lives by his body. You know what I mean. You slow the body down, then that means you'll have to bring the head down, like he'll stop moving. Let's say its, you know, I'm defending my title just like I defend my title against anyone else. I go out there to defend it and I want to keep it. And plus, you know, the bread is good also. I'm cool man. I'm ready for this one.

CASSIUS CLAY (SEQ. 5): Joe Frazier's an amateur. He isn't even champion of the world. We're going to straighten all this mess out. How can you talk about Joe Frazier....Mr. Commissioner, talking about Joe Frazier. Whether he accepts it or not, if he whips me I'm handing him the belt. Joe Frazier whips me, I'm handing him the belt. When he proves to me he's the real champion of the world, this will be his belt. He's easy to hit. Everybody hit him. They just kept hitting him. They tire out. They get tired of hitting him. He's never fought a good skilful real great fighter that could hit him for 20 rounds as long as he can take it just keep hitting him. He'll tire. He's going to get tired first if he's taking all the punishment. He tires quick. When he fought Bonavena he was pooped, but falling on his face. Barely got through the last two rounds. That's what I remember. I don't remember this talk about beating light heavyweights and my sparring partners. I'm watching his two toughest fights. As Bonavena and Jerry Quarry. Both gave him all hell. All I want to know is do the sparring partners hit him, every time they throw a shot they hit him. That's all I need to know. As long as I can land it's all over. Hitting him, beating him, every day. Everybody who watches him train say no contest. He's better not fight like that when I lead, they jab him they hook, they uppercut him with lefts and rights. They keep his head going and he comes to real bulling and keeps taking them.

Background: Cassius Clay, also known as Muhammad Ali, and Joe Frazier went to New York yesterday (Wednesday) to undergo a routine medical checkup for their fight next Monday night. Clay was in fine voice and gave his regular predictions on the outcome of the fight....a victory for him. Frazier was a more subdued...at least by Clay's standards....but predicted he would win the fight which is being billed as the greatest heavy weight battle of the century.
