    TRANSCRIPT:

NEWSMAN: "Your Excellency, I would just like to ask you how you felt when you broke through many hundreds of years of tradition this morning by presenting your credentials as the first lady Ambassador accredited to the Holy See?"

AMBASSADOR BERNADETTE OLOWO: "Well I felt greatly honoured that they'd received ma. It was a great honour both for myself and for my country."

NEWSMAN: "Do you hope that -- from now on -- there'll be more lady Ambassadors to the Holy See, now that you've broken this tradition?"

AMBASSADOR OLOWO: "I am sure the Vatican would be very willing to receive lady Ambassadors when they're accredited."

NEWSMAN: "Do you think there are going to be many pilgrims from Uganda coming to Rome this year, which is Holy Year?"

    AMBASSADOR OLOWO: "Yes."

NEWSMAN: "Do you know how many?"

AMBASSADOR OLOWO: "No I'm not really sure how many, but the President has encouraged many, many people whether they are Catholics, or Protestants or Moslems, to come to Rome."

NEWSMAN: "Thank you very much, your Excellency ".
