Background: The government of the Arab Union, the new alliance between Jordan and Iraq, was formed here today with Nuri-es-Said at the head. With Senator Nuri-es-Said are Senators Towfiq-as-Suwaidi, Sayid Abdul Karim al Uzri and General Sami Fattah from Iraq, and Senator Sayid Ibrahim Hashim, Sayid Sulaiman Toquan, and Sayid Khulusi al-Khairi from Jordan.
After the resignation of Senator Nuri-es-Said as head of the Iraqi Cabinet, Senator Ahmad Mukhtar Baban was installed today at the head of a new Cabinet.
Among the letters of congratulation received by the new heads of government was one to Nuri-es-Said from King Feisal.
