Background: The Federal Labour M.P., Dr. Jim Cairns, said today he had been forbidden from flying into Tahiti where he had planned to investigate French nuclear tests in the Pacific.
At a press conference at Sydney airport, Dr. Cairns said he had been informed by Qantas that his party of eight protestors including Trade Unionists, members of the peace movement and academics, would be stopped from entering Tahiti.
