    THE GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT ON MONDAY REALISED ABOUT 6,000 NEW CEDIS (STERLING 3,000) FROM THE SALE OF THE MOVABLE PROPERTY OF MR. A.E. INKUMSAH, FORMER DEPUTY SPEAKER IN THE NKRUMAH GOVERNMENT. THE SALE OF THIS AND OTHER PROPERTY WAS ORDERED BY THE NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL AS A MEANS OF RECLAIMING SOME TWO MILLION NEW CEDIS (ONE MILLION STERLING), FROM THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT.

    DEPOSED PRESIDENT NKRUMAH AND ELEVEN FORMER MINISTERS HAVE BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REFUND, AND MR INKUMSAH'S CAR, BOOKS AND FURNITURE WENT TOWARDS RECOVERY.

    THE AUCTION TOOK PLACE AT MR INKUMSAH'S RESIDENCE IN ACCRA. ITEMS SOLD INCLUDED PERSONAL CLOTHING, BOOKS, SHOES, BRIEF CASES, A MERCEDES BENZ AND A JAGUAR CAR.

    THE TWO CARS FETCHED A TOTAL OF 5,000 NEW CEDIS (2,500 STERLING).
