    As the British withdrawal of troops from Malta continues, Royal Air Force furniture and sundry goods no longer required have been gathered and made ready for auction at a Luqa auction site. On Wednesday (16 February) RAF trucks were busily employed ferrying mess furniture to the auction site. Vehicles were also among the lots to be offered for sale.

    SYNOPSIS: An auction site al Luqa on Malta, near the island's airfield. Here, furniture no longer required by the British Forces in Malta was being assembled on wednesday for sale.

    With the continuing withdrawal of British personnel from the island, large quantities of furniture and goods have become stockpiled for eventual auction. Much of it was not considered important or valuable enough for transport back to Britain. Some of it had been RAF mess furniture.

    Among of the lots for sale....a line-up of trucks.
