    THE 63-FOOT (19-METRE) STAINLESS STEEL ROCKET -- FIRST STAGE OF THE EUROPEAN LAUNCHER DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATIONS'S 3-STAGE SATELLITE LAUNCHER -- IS ALREADY STANDING WITHIN ITS PROTECTIVE TOWER 200-FEET (61 METRES) ABOVE THE GROUND.

    BLUE STREAK IS SCHEDULED TO COVER 1,000 MILES (1600 KMS) IN 10-MINUTES, REACHING A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 170-MILES (272 KMS). IT WILL BE BROKEN UP DURING RE-ENTRY INTO THE ATMOSPHERE BY EXPLOSIVE CHARGES BUILT INTO ITS SYSTEM.
