Background: The eighth child of President Jacob Mobutu of the Congo Democratic Republic was baptised recently at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Kaline.

President Mobutu and Mme Mobutu had their son christened Michel Mathieu of the family and friends were at the church for the happy occasion.

Officiating at the ceremony was the Bishop of Kisantu, Mgr Kimbondo, and present were diplomate, Kinshasa Government officials and President Bokassa of the Central African Republic.
