    THE TALKS WERE HELD IN THE LONG-DISUSED BUILDING OF THE FORMER ALLIED CONTROL AUTHORITY IN THE AMERICAN SECTOR. AFTER-WARDS, M. FRANCOIS SEYDOUX DE CLAUSONNE, FRANCE'S AMBASSADOR IN BONN, SAID THAT THE TWO-HOUR SESSION WAS INTERESTING AND CONSTRUCTIVE.

    THE ONLY COMMUNIQUE, A STATEMENT FROM THE WESTERN POWERS, SAID THAT THE NEXT SESSION WOULD TAKE PLACE ON MAY 14TH. IT WAS REPORTED UNOFFICIALLY THAT THE MEETING WAS FRIENDLY.

    M. SEYDOUX, WHO PRESIDED THE MEETING, OPENED THE DISCUSSION WITH A STATEMENT FROM HIS GOVERNMENT. HE WAS FOLLOWED BY SIR ROGER JACKLING, THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR, AND MR. KENNETH RUSH OF THE UNITED STATES. PYOTR ABRASIMOV, THE SOVIET AMBASSADOR IN EAST BERLIN, SPOKE LAST.

    THE WESTERN NATIONS WANT RUSSIA TO USE HER INFLUENCE WITH EAST GERMANY TO ALLOW GREATER FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT FOR WEST BERLINERS BETWEEN THE TWO HALVES OF BERLIN AND ON THE ROUTES THROUGH EAST GERMANY TO THE WEST.
