Two senior Zambian officials, visiting India for several days, held talks in New Delhi this with Foreign Minister Swaran Singh and Prim Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi. They are Mr. Mark Chona, President Kenneth Kaunda's special assistant on political affairs; and Dr. Henry Meeblo Zambia's Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
The talks centred around the Non-Aligned Nations Conference to be hold in Algeria in September this year. Both India and Zambia are leading members of the Non-Aligned Nations group -- which includes member nations mainly from Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and Latin America.
SYNOPSIS: Reports said the two Zambian officials were offered aid by India and that a senior Zambian delegation would visit India later this month to finalise an aid agreement.
