    FOUR MAIN ITEMS ARE DOWN FOR DISCUSSION: 1 - THE POSITION OF ICELAND'S FISHERIES IN EUROPE, 2 - INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS FOR FISH AND FISH PRODUCTS. 3 - AID TO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, AND 4 - THE PROBLEMS PERTAINING TO FISHING RULES.

    ALL TOLD, 146 DELEGATES, REPRESENTING GOVERNMENT AND INDUSTRY INTERESTS, ARE AT THE DISCUSSIONS, WHICH ARE SEEING HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ICELAND.

    TALKS WERE OPENED BY THE ICELANDIC MINISTER OF FISHERIES, MR. EMIL JONSSON. ONE OF THE FIRST SPEAKERS WAS MR. KLAUS SUNNANAA, THE NORWEGIAN DIRECTOR OF FISHERIES, WHO CALLED FOR A SYSTEM OF NORTH ATLANTIC FISHING QUOTAS UNDER STRICT INTERNATIONAL CONTROL.
