Background: An Australian woman, with 30-years experience as an animal trainer behind her, is rearing a baby chimpanzee from Sydney's Taroonga park Zoo. And she's giving it just as much care as she would a baby. The woman is Mrs. E. Cells - of Bondi, who took charge of the Chimpanzee when he was only one day old because his mother could not feed him. She named him "Mac".

For the first few days she had to feed him from an eye-dropper every two hours; but now he's graduated to a bottle every three hours, and - baby like - get wind after meals.

Mrs. Cells keeps "Mac" warm with hot water bottles and heaters, and has nursed him through some worrying moments.

He's now nineteen days old, and to celebrate the occasion he was dressed up to meet photographers in a napkin, booties, singlet and bonnet.
