    MR. RODENBURG WAS IN GHANA IN CONNECTION WITH THE OPENING OF THE KOTOKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

    IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE ELECTRONICS DIVISION HAS BEGUN THE MANUFACTURED OF RADIO SETS, TRANSFORMERS AND LOUDSPEAKERS. IT WAS ALSO ANNOUNCED THAT UNDER A TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT, PHILIPS TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRIES HAVE GIVEN THE DIVISION A PLASTIC MOULDING MACHINE WORTH ABOUT 100,000 NEW GHANAIAN CEDIS (ABOUT GBP40,000 STERLING.) WITH THE MACHINE, THE ELECTRONICS DIVISION WILL CEASE IMPORTING PLASTIC CABINETS AND ACCESSORIES.

    AN OFFICIAL OF THE ELECTRONICS DIVISION SAID THAT IT HAD MADE A PROFIT OF 300,000 NEW CEDIS (ABOUT GBP120,000 STERLING), WHICH IS 40,000 NEW CEDIS (GBP16,000 STERLING) GREATER THAN THE PROFIT FOR 1967.
