According to the Air Force headquarters, the plane was loaded with four un-armed nuclear devices. Three of them had been found. The fourth device was the object of the search when these films were taken on January 20. The Air Force stressed the fact that the device posed no problem or hazard to civilians living in the mountainous region where the B-52 went down.
