    THE AMBASSADOR, WHOSE PERMANENT RESIDENCE IS AT KINSHASA, TOLD PRESIDENT TOMBALBAYE THAT HE WAS OPTIMISTIC OF A FUTURE STRENGTHENING OF THE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL TIES BETWEEN CHAD AND JAPAN - AND THAT THIS COLLABORATION WOULD CONTRIBUTE TO BRINGING ABOUT THE COMMON AIM OF ALL MEN: WORLD PEACE.

    IN HIS REPLY, PRESIDENT TOMBALBAYE SAID THAT HE REJOICED AT THE PROSPECT OF THE SCIENTIFIC, CULTURAL AND TECHNICAL EXCHANGES BETWEEN THEIR TWO COUNTRIES. IN THESE FIELDS, HE ADDED, JAPAN'S HISTORIC EXPERIENCE AND DEVELOPMENT WOULD BE AN EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO NATIONS.
