    IN 1966, FREDDIE WENT TO THE UNITED STATES AND JOINED THE ATLANTA CHIEFS OF THE NORTH AMERICAN LEAGUE. IN HIS THIRD SEASON, HE WAS APPOINTED CAPTAIN. FREDDIE WAS ON HIS WAY BACK TO ZAMBIA FROM ATLANTA RECENTLY WHEN HE STOPPED OFF IN ENGLAND TO VISIT ASTON VILLA AND AFTER A WEEK OF TRIALS WAS OFFERED A CONTRACT.

    FREDDIE, A MIDFIELD PLAYER, IS AT PRESENT PLAYING FOR VILLA'S RESERVE TEAM IN THE CENTRAL LEAGUE. HIS WIFE AND SON ARE LIVING WITH HIM IN BIRMINGHAM.

    VILLA HAVE ALSO SIGNED ANOTHER ZAMBIAN PLAYER, EMMENT KAPANGWE, 27, WHO WAS WITH FREDDIE AT ATLANTA.
