    Soviet Justice Minister Vladimir Terebilov arrived in New Delhi, India last Wednesday (24 March) for a ten day visit during which he will have wide ranging talks on Indo-Soviet constitutional and economic issues with government officials.

    His first round of talks was with India's Minister for Law, Justice and Company Affairs, H.R. Gokhale. During their discussions Mr. Terebilov revealed that there were moves in the Soviet Union to change the legal system and t give more powers to local bodies to enable better economic management.

    Accompanying Mr. Terebilov on the tour are Madam G. Paramonova, chairwoman of the Peoples' Court of the Zhdano region of Moscow and Mr. Evgeny Kulichev a consultant of the International Juridical Collegium.

    On Friday (26 March) the group visited Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Foreign Affairs Minister, Y.B. Chavan.

    During the tour the Soviet group will also do some sightseeing. They expect to visit the kerala wild life sanctuary, the beach resort at Kovalam and picturesque Kashmir.

    SYNOPSIS: The Indian capital, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Indira Gandhi received a visit from Soviet Justice Minister Vladimir Terebilov on Friday. Mr. Terebilov arrived in India on Wednesday for a ten day visit accompanied by Madam G. Paramonova, chairwoman of the Peoples' Court of the Zhdano region of Moscow and Mr. Evgeny Kulichev a consultant of the International Juridical Collegium.

    On the first day of their visit Mr. Terebilov and his party mat Indian Minister for Law, Justice and Company Affairs H.R. Gokhale. During preliminary talks they touched on wide ranging Indo-Soviet constitutional and economic issues. The Soviets also plan to do some sightseeing during their visit.
