    PLACE WINNERS' MEDALS AND THE IMPRESSIVE-LOOKING EISENHOWER TROPHY WERE PRESENTED TO THE GOLFERS BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP'S ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE,MR. HENRY H. TURCAN. THE TROPHY WAS RECEIVED BY THE AMERICAN CAPTAIN, MR. JOHN D. AMES.

    ALSO PRESENT AT THE CEREMONY WERE THE GOLFERS' CADDIES - JAPANESE GIRLS IN THEIR LATE TEENS AND EARLY TWENTIES. ALL THE COMPETITORS PAID TRIBUTE TO THE CADDIES WHO WERE ALWAYS ON DUTY IN THEIR SMART,BLUE UNIFORMS. AND THEY IN TURN THANKED THE GOLFERS. TWO GIRLS WERE QUOTED AS SAYING THAT FOREIGN PLAYERS WERE MORE CONSIDERATE THAN THE JAPANESE MALE. "THEY HELP YOU WITH YOUR HEAVY BAGS AND GIVE YOU A BOOST UP THE SLOPES, SAID ONE.
