A delegation from the Soviet Union led by the Deputy Minister for External Commerce, Mr. Ossipov, arrived at Le Bourget airport in Paries on Tuesday to begin a study of the technical problems arising out of the Soviet Union's sale of 2.5 milliard cubic metres of natural gas to France. France has agreed in principle to buy gas every year, following the example of West Germany and Italy.
The arrival of the delegation is an immediate result of the Franco-Soviet commission meeting in Moscow a few weeks ago. In return. France has been given several building contracts in the Soviet Union. Sales of the gas are expected to begin in 1973.
