Background: The Director of Public Security of Jordan yesterday (Sunday) put on show in Amman some nine tons of arms and ammunition which are reported to have bene captured by Government troops on Friday (January 29) after they stopped a truck which had "suspiciously" stopped several times at a store in the city. Two men escaped, but one use captured and is said to have confessed that the arms were being sent into Amman by order of the Al Fetch guerrilla command in the Western Sector.

The arms are a direct breach of the peace agreement signed by the Government and the guerrillas on January 14, 1971. We serviced two stories on the subject: X0532/71 on January 15 and 0678/71 on January 19.
